And God created humour...?
Biblical stories told with a lot of humour and uncommon objects… Through some biblical extracts as the Creation, the Paradise, Cain and Abel, the author narrates in a comic and poetic way some fundamental conflicts of man, his relation with space and time, his place in social organizations, his role inside the nature, his destiny, his foolishness.

The actor unfolds his perception of the story through metaphors, playing with objects and materials. But, don’t be afraid, the show is really very funny!

“Calvino used the words like objects in his work. I try to use objects like words, full of meanings” – Jaime Santos.

La Chana Teatro, whose artistic route is full of intelligent shows, is a company created in 1987 by Jaime Santos and Áurea Pérez, located in Salamanca. They have their very own special style of telling stories, like a game, always having the object, the word, the space and the interpretation as protagonists. Jaime Santos worked in theatre for 24 years and produced more than 20 shows. Besides being an actor, set designer, puppeteer and objects manipulator, he graduated in Hispanic Philology. The name “La Chana” was chosen by its sonority. “La Chana” has several meanings that he discovered gradually. One of them is that is the name of a very popular folk Spanish song, but also the name of a traditional game.
